Where validation stands
This is a new instrument. Here is exactly what that means.
What we can say today
Every question is mapped to something specific it measures, and that mapping was written down while the instrument was being built, not reconstructed afterward. The pressure section uses situational judgment format, chosen because it resists being gamed. The two-axis structure it sits on has a long history behind it.
What we can’t say yet
We don’t have reliability figures. We don’t have test-retest data. We haven’t correlated it against anything. Anybody telling you their new instrument has those things is either using somebody else’s numbers or hoping you won’t ask.
What happens next
Internal consistency at the first hundred responses. Item analysis at the same point, because a question that doesn’t behave gets rewritten or removed. A distribution check at three hundred, to confirm all four styles actually show up. If sixty percent of people come out the same style, a question is leading and we need to know that. Test-retest at six months. Correlation against an established instrument at twelve.
We will publish the numbers when we have them, including the ones we don’t like.
What to do with that
Use this as a structured conversation, not as a measurement. It is built to be accurate enough to be useful and honest enough to be argued with. Page 22 of every report says the same thing.
